Molecular Biology Laboratory Services

We can provide full molecular DNA analysis laboratory services to support your scientific research, clinical research, and clinical trials. Services include DNA extraction, Cloning PCR products, PCR and Sequencing Clones or Genes, Sequencing PCR and Plasmid Templates, DNA Fingerprinting, DNA Sequencing, and supporting Bioinformatics analysis.

Microbial DNA Sequencing Technology and Platforms

Microbiomic discovery and diagnostics requires specialized patent pending microbial DNA sequencing methods and bioinformatics that have been developed and proven by MetaBiomics™ over the past 10 years.   One patent pending technology uses Amplicon Length Heterogeneity PCR fingerprinting (LH-PCR) for clinical research, diagnosis, prognostication, and/or monitoring of disease progression in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), polymicrobial, and immunological diseases.  Our patent pending MultiTag Sequencing™ platform provides a means of applying high-throughput DNA sequencing methods such as pyrosequencing to microbiomics research, clinical research and diagnostic testing by adding unique barcodes for identifying a hundred or more individual patient samples in a single high-throughput DNA sequencing run.  This technology enables the use of DNA sequencing with advanced bioinformatics and comparative statistical analysis to economically perform clinical trials and diagnostic testing of individual patients.

Human Microbiome and Clinical Research Services

Our microbiomics expertise, proprietary technology, and research platforms are also available to alliance partners and customers for clinical and environmental research on the human and natural microbiome. Our specialized microbiomic research services offer new orthogonal approaches and perspectives that can be used to support new clinical research and/or on-going clinical trials for new pharmaceuticals and diagnostics tests that can benefit from research and monitoring of patient metabolic and immune system reactions that may be intervolved with human microbial communities.

Diagnostic Technology Development and Clinical Trials

Perhaps the world’s first human microbiomic diagnostics technology (patent pending) is focused on the “Composition and Methods for Diagnosing Colon Disorders” including specific biomarkers for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease although the technique applies broadly to many different immunological and polymicrobial disease diagnostics. NIH funded collaborative clinical research with Rush Medical Center is on-going with NIH grant applications for clinical trials pending for early next year.
